Clark Kent was good at his job. He was the ultimate professional who always did what was asked of him. So, when Perry sent him to L.A. on assignment, he went without question. He was supposed to interview Tony Stark on the recent Wayne-Stark merger and he was prepared to deal with the eccentric billionaire, but when he arrived at Mr. Stark’s Malibu home, there were a few surprises waiting for him.
“Ah, come on,” Tony, dressed as a greek god, slapped his back, “It’s Halloween!”
“I, um, I didn’t bring a costume,” Clark swallowed, he had not been aware there would be a Halloween gala in full effect. But it wasn’t a problem, he could wait until morning for an interview. Before he could say so, someone else spoke.
“I promise you a better story if you stay.”
Clark turned to see none other than Bruce Wayne - sporting a mustache and a goatee? - suddenly standing only a few feet away. Clark had heard someone approaching; he never imagined it would be Bruce.
“It’s my costume,” Bruce pointed at the goatee and mustache. “I’m Tony Stark,” he smiled.
Blushing slightly, Clark cleared his throat. The last time he had seen Gotham’s Prince, they’d gone for drinks to talk about the possibility of a Wayne Enterprises and Stark Industries union, only neither actually drank much. Clark didn’t drink and Bruce kept misplacing his. There had been a moment, a matter of seconds, that Clark remembers with perfect clarity when Bruce had leaned in close and almost to kissed him.
Of course, it was entirely possible that Clark could have misread the entire situation. Yes, that was probably the case. And today was simply a matter of coincidence. Mr. Stark and Mr. Wayne were old friends. Possibly. Billionaires must to associate with other billionaires, right? Who else would understand the problems that go along with having too much money?
“Um, okay, sure,” Clark replied. Perry wanted a story, so he would get a story. Besides, he was sure Lois wouldn’t be intimidated by two rich men and neither would he. They were simply men, after all. Right?
Well, yes and no. They were men, yes, but there was nothing simple about them. Both were handsome, charismatic men who Clark tried not to stare at openly for too long. But there was a problem with that because they were staring at him. A lot. A lot, a lot. And Clark kind of liked it. He really liked it.
So, when Tony suggested they continue their conversation upstairs, Clark followed. And when Bruce asked him to remove his clothes and glasses, he did. Because really the loud music downstairs wasn’t conducive to a serious interview atmosphere anyway. And this would give him the chance to get to know both men on a much more personal level, which could only help the interview. Besides, it was Halloween and he could pretend to be anyone he wanted, including a Casanova or a Don Juan.

Priceless is good, yay! And most of the numbers picked were pretty complimentary! A little spooky, but mostly lucky for me! LOL! I'm having some trouble with the last drabble I owe because the numbers chosen were for characters who wouldn't normally interact! O_O
Clark's fun to write because he doesn't seem to know how handsome or attractive he really is. I guess it's part of his farmboy charm! ;)
