Everyone watched the two cousins fly up and away. In the blink of an eye, Batman was gone as well. While the small crowd dispersed, Barda noticed Wonder Woman wasn’t smiling like the others there.
“You look worried, Diana.”
“Not at all,” the Amazon replied with a smile, “I am sure Kara will do well.”
“Then it’s something else.”
Images of Big Barda flashed in Diana’s mind. Barda’s strong, perfect figure still wet from her shower, a small towel her only covering… The splendor, the fierceness with which the former Fury fought in Apokolips and never - not even while captured - contemplated surrender… And then, there was the way the warm Themyscira sun gave the already beautiful warrior a stunning glow…
“I was only thinking that Scott is very lucky.”
“Want to know one of the best things about him?” Barda grinned, taking Diana’s hand in hers, “He does not mind sharing.”

Diana has loved and been loved many times, always in honor of Aphrodite. She has been gentle and aggressive, assertive and compliant, depending on what her partner wanted or needed. Many times Diana has read a person, understood his or her desires so well, they both benefit delightfully from that knowledge. With Barda it is a different experience.
What surprises Diana most isn’t that Barda has the same ability and reads her with ease. And it’s not that Diana doesn’t have to say where or how she likes to be touched, Barda’s hands and lips simply know. What becomes the most pleasant of surprises is that Barda matches Diana’s enthusiasm and energy on every level. Gentle and aggressive in turns, Barda has her panting and moaning for more. Skin against skin, slick and soft, while Diana loses herself in the many sensations Barda makes her feel. It’s different in a wonderful way and Diana hopes it’s only the first of many times they will take pleasure in each other.
