OMG I DID IT!

WOW! WHAT A WEEKEND! i hope everybody's thanksgiving was wonderful. i know a lot of people went back home to having not much left but i hope seeing family made it easier. hopefully nobody ate too much! lol well.........my thanksgiving was cut short b/c i went to audition for drum corp. for those who dont know what drum corp is........its like marching band.....but like 10,000 times better! they put together a field show over the spring semester and all summer, we will tour the country performing almost every day! it is goin to be a wonderful summer.........I CANT WAIT! i will be travelin to jacksonville, AL once a month for the next few months to train for the weekend, then ill move in on may 26th for the whole summer! its gonna be amazin! you know how you always imagine the ideal situation that you want to happen........but it usually never happens..............well mine actually happened this weekend! the color guard doesnt go through an actually "go in front of a pannel of judges" audition. our audition is basically how we perform all weekend........and i guess i did exactly what they wanted. but we did have to have a one on one "interview/conversation" w/ the caption head (person in charge of the section) on sunday before we went home. when i had my interview w/ Stacey, we just kinda sat and talked about the fine print, legistics, legalities, and all that jazz.........then she started talkin about my performance over the whole weekend...........SHE TOLD ME NOTHING WRONG! i was expecting them to tell me something i needed to work on and stuff like that BUT SHE DIDNT! she told me that the staff had watched me all weekend......they liked my personality and how i wasnt scared to meet people and be open w/ peopl, they liked how i wasnt scared to help people with things they had problems with and how i wasnt scared to ask questions when i was confused. then heres what really got me! and i quote........"well, of course you know that b/c the horn line and drum line wont be set until january, so we cant hand out contracts until then, but if i had one to give you right now, i would." HOLY COW! OMG OMG OMG! that still makes me excited! i am goin to be marching in a top 12 division 1 drum corps this summer! omg im goin to DCI finals in madison! holy cow.......IS THIS ACTUALLY HAPPENING TO ME!? i used to think those people i saw on dci were so cool and i'd never be that good......now im actually gonna be a part of that! it hasnt sunk in yet! omg!.........so yeah......even though i have been sore all day long and start my work out scedule tomorrow, that includes runnin, conditionin, dancin, and spinnin every day, i had a wonderful weekend! i met some wonderful people and cant wait til tour! its gonna be the time of my life!
