This is really long, because I need to vent. Feel free to read.

So, apparently you have to be a hottie to work at CSI (at least, the one in Las Vegas). I started watching this show recently (Damn Spike and their awesome lineup of Trek, more Trek, and then CSI!) and it occurred to me that everyone looks good. I mean, day-um.

Watching CSI is fun. Lots of stuff to learn, and I get to look at good-looking guys who also happen to be great actors. But you wanna know what's not fun? Feeling like shiznit for almost a week and having it all climax in the form of a fever after a loooooooong day. Granted, the day wasn't that long. It just got really unbearable by the end of the night. It started off slow--I took care of myself, ate stuff, drank fluids, watched a little TV. Then I had a recording session with Chase and Cristofe. It went well until near the end when I got a bad headache (we're talking almost migraine). I blamed my "cold" and all the cat hair on the floor.

But then I went home and tried to sleep before Knoxville Symphony Orchestra (KSO) rehearsal. Couldn't sleep, because I couldn't breathe. When I finally did nod off, it wasn't restful, and I woke up with aching neck muscles.

So I took my temperature--97.9. I know that "normal" for the average person is 98.7 or something, but for me and my dad (and probably other peeps on his side of the family) it's a bit lower. 97.9 is normal for me. So I went to rehearsal, armed with lots of tissue. Throughout the 2.5-hour rehearsal, I proceeded to get lost and play lots of wrong notes, be in pain, blow my nose a lot, and actually drip mucus on myself multiple times (I'd go from being stopped up to the point of not being able to breathe through my nose AT ALL to one nostril dripping like a leaky faucet). I got up and ran out of rehearsal to blow my noise at least half a dozen times. Got lots of weird looks, and a few people asked if I was okay.

So fast-forward to me finally getting home (stopped by Kroger before I went home, to get lots of cold/sinus stuff and a few necessities [paper towel, juice, and crescent rolls, mmmm!]). I felt worse, and I was really tired of the whole not-being-able-to-breathe-through-nose thing. Also, my head (sinus area) started aching, probably from all the sniffling and blowing I'd been doing. I took my temperature--100.1 Wait a minute--WHAT? I called the parents, talked for a bit, sat down and relaxed, and took it again. 100.4. @#$%ing fever.

So I called my brother and left him a message, asking him to take me to the urgent care place in the morning (because I'm sure I'll be in no condition to drive).

In other news: I want to marry James Bond (specifically, Daniel Craig's James Bond). Or Stephen Colbert (but he's already taken). Or eyesofgrey. ;-) Muahaha.

Oh yeah, and "Natural Apple Cinnamon Flavor" Theraflu doesn't taste like apple cinnamon when you're as sick as I am. It tastes...*shudder* Scary. I hate being sick.

sick, music, hot guys
