An idea!
So I recently scrapped all of my saved away messages (after saving them in a text file, of course...I've come up with some good stuff, if I do say so myself), because I had a new idea: No explanations of where I am or what I'm doing. Just song lyrics. I went from about 15 saved messages to 5. It's really fun.
I wrote Julian's mom and dad a couple weeks ago, inviting them to my master's recital. I didn't think they'd be able to make it, but I wanted to make sure they knew about it in case they could come! Well a couple days ago I got a package in the mail--it was a card from Darlene (his mom) and also a present. She sent me a prayer box necklace! It totally made my day! And she put a tiny piece of paper inside it that read "Proverbs 3:5-6" (Trust in the Lord, and do not lean on your own understanding...in all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your paths). Exactly what I needed.
So I'm still alive. Haven't quit school. Yet. I need to finish this stupid paper so I can schedule my comps. Ugh. More hours in day, fewer distractions. All things that I need. Good night.
