MY SPAIN APPLICATION CAME IN THE MAIL TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! i've spent the last 2 hours reading over everything they sent me in that huge envelope and filling out all the easy stuff. I'm totally afraid because I was looking over the reccomendation forms that my math teacher, english teacher, spanish teacher, and advisor have to fill out about me and there's a lot of stuff where i think i won't sound so good. AAAHHHH.
I'm pretty bored right now because I'm too nervous to start the two essays that I need for the application. SYA (school year abroad which is the program I'm applying to) only accepts like 2 out of 4 people and I REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY WANT TO GET IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
here are the essay topics i can choose from. vote on which you think i should do...
1. Which invention in the last 50 years do you feel has had the biggest impact on your day-to-day life? How would your life be different without it>
2. Consider an international, national, or local concern and present your opinion.
3. If you were sent to live on a deserted island for a year where all necessary items for survival (food, water, medicine) were available, please tell us what three items you would bring along with you and why.
4. Diversity, on every level, makes school more educational, creative, and interesting. What special academic interests, personal perpectives, and live experiences would you bring to SYA to enhance our community?
5. According to Mahatma Gandhi, "You must be the change you wish to see in the world." Tell us about a change you would like to see in the world and what you are willing to change in your own life in order to aid this process.
