(no subject)
guatemala was more than words can explain. it was warm. the kids were so cute. if you want to hear all about it, ask me, and i'll probably go on for hours. it was an amazing opportunity to teach kids even though i felt like i taught them nothing. everyone told us that they had no creativity but to see them open up afte the second day and just to see that i was tapping into their creativity... was amazing. the teachers were all really young and of course, there ended up being a really attractive one, josue. haha and he was hilarious too. other special people were hector and fernando, who traveled around with our group everywhere, and roberto. roberto works at the school cleaning it and i got to talk to him for long amounts of time. a couple hours at a time sometimes. all in spanish, mind you. before i left i gave him my number and he called me tonight! it was so cute. it's hard for me to always understand him, but he was so excited to talk to me! it's nice. really really nice. some of the boys in 8th grade were only a year or two younger than me and they LOVED me. it was nice. haha.
it was impossible for me to miss anyone or anything there. i feel bad saying i didn't miss people, but i honestly didn't. the only bad thing was having cold showers. other than that, i didn't even miss my computer or cell phone. i never was bored. in my free time i was content to lay in a hammock or talk to one of the people in our group i don't usually ever get a chance to talk to. i dont' want to go back to my life.
