Into The Dark
Ok, since jugularjaguar "complained" that there were no dogs in the last pic I posted, I thought I would post another. This is a commission that I had done by the always incredible chibi_marrow . Death Cab for Cutie's song "I Will Follow You Into the Dark" is one of my favorite songs and I approached Marrow with an idea to do a commission based on the song. I thought it would fit her style well and she did a fantastic job with the shading on the pic. I love the period clothing she likes to use as well, so requested that of course.
fordshepherd & I are very good friends, and (hopefully I'm not overstepping here) he's made me promise him at times that we'll still be friends when we are both old and grey. I thought the song presented a good mode of expressing that sentiment. It's a bit too tender of pic for that stodgy Winston guy, but I wanted some art of the character. Who would believe a cat following a dog into the dark anyway, unless a knife is involved. Anyway, I figure this should at least garner me a few more meals of his southern cooking. ;)
