Ok, so through FCN, the LAFF Softball event and other means, I've been able to meet a lot of great folks lately. I still have that "new fur" smell going though, and since I'm sure a lot of you don't know much about me, so here's your chance to get to know me. Leave a question, any question, in this post and I will answer it for you.

As a matter of fact, I've actually already comissioned a fursuit from DHC to be completed for April of next year. As far as the tourney goes, I am following it and I am voting in it. I didn't nominate anyone because I wasn't sure who was ok with being nominated.

I don't have a problem with the contest personally and I think it can be a fun deal if you don't take it seriously. For me, I'm trying specifically to vote on people who I think are good performers in their suits and not so much on the look of the suit, but if I don't know either suiter and have only the pictures to go on, it does come down to that sometimes. I see nothing wrong with showcasing the fandoms fursuiters. Cons are continually reaching levels of 20% fursuiters in attendance, so it's a big part of the fandom now.

I would participate in it if nominated. I wouldn't expect to go far. I can't dance like Madius or NeoPan. I don't have the incredible energy level of JD. I doubt I could do characterizations as well as Tilt or Calamity. However, there are tons of people who do excellent jobs without any kind of performance back ground. I just hope to learn as much as I can from them and have fun with it.

I think Wildfox has a great attitude towards fursuiting. He mentioned in another journal that he fursuits simply because he enjoys it. Any "accolades" that come from it are pretty irrelevant. It's not like any of us are going to be listing "2009 FFFF Winner" on a resume.
