On Fear...

As soon as common sense and experience can take over, fear loses all value.

Fear then becomes only an invisible foe silently bullying us through life. I see fear as useful only as a natural instinct when an individual has not matured enough to make "safe" decisions.

I believe fear in one degree or another is one of the biggest limiting factors in human potential. I am not talking about horror-movie fear. Although that type of fear certainly could limit our ability to make good decisions. More commonly, fear stops us from talking to or meeting people (self esteem), from learning new things, advancing in our careers, and so many more things. Essentially, it makes it harder for us to be as happy as we can be. Once recognized for what it is (a leave-over from a time when we were less developed) we can ignore it and use our facilities to make appropriate decisions. We can be free from the invisible hand holding us back and walk forward into our lives in control.
