A Surprising Offer

My former boss called me today to see how things were going. In fact some of the former CBRE people that got hired on the Cigna account with CBRE still call me to see how things are going. Bea constantly calls me to see if I'm ok and just to see how everyone is. Anyways, Dave called and mentioned how he's going to PA next week to interview for facility managers in the Moosup area. He then threw me for a loop when he asked me if I was interested. I told him I think there's plenty of other people more qualified than myself since I have no experience in being a facility manager. He then replied with "not in my mind". I was surprised. I remember him saying when we worked together that he thought I would make a great FM or a project manager. I would have been interested (especially with the salary he mentioned I would be getting) but the position is in Moosup, PA. I don't want to relocate to another state. CT is my home and I don't want to start all over somewhere else. I like it in CT. But if a FM is needed for the Cigna building in Bloomfield then I wouldn't be surprised if Dave contacts me about it, but they already have one so I doubt that will happen. Currently, I'm starting to grasp my new tasks with TCC and I know I have new responsibilities that haven't even been assigned to me yet, but my name keeps popping up all over the portfolio so I know I'm going to be quite a busy person. Besides, I'm not the type of person to up and quit a job because of frustration. This is a transition and things should get better as the months go by. At least I hope they do.
