Wednesdays, Traditions and Making a New Pattern

Feb 01, 2007 10:39

And so the Keele-ites went forth in numbers from their tents yesternight to make sacrifice of money in order that today they may do homage to the God of All Hangovers. Yours truly included. Although last night I did not pour out my innards and in fact was drunk but not horrendously so. This may be a sign of things to come.

So what does one report after a mere few days of not doing so? Well, last night saw the beginning of rehearsals for the latest Drama Society production "A Dream Play" by August Strindberg. It's a strange little piece, written in 1901, so I'm thinking a heavy Freudian influence. Apparently it follows all the patterning, logic, etc of a dream, which just goes to back up my little theory somewhat. Last night was also the first social of PUSSI, which I believe went very well. I couldn't stay long as I had just come from rehearsal and needed to shower before we all went off to the Union. Where apparently they all dispersed and so I was left drifting between groups of my blockmates, which I didn't mind because that's how I socialise. In addition I have now sorted out my little CSP problem (hurrah!!) and shall be studying Contemporary Political Issues instead of Persykology.

Apart from epxecting the delivery of "The Lost Prince" on DVD (which I was told was at the parcel office, only to find upon further investigation that this was not the case) there is very little else to tell. I go to my lectures and seminars, I eat, sleep, attend society meetings and keep up with all my correspondence. Things seem to have settled down quite nicely into another routine which should keep me going until March when I have to clear off home for a month.

Therefore readers I shall bid you farewell until my next post. When, hopefully, I should have something more interesting to post.
