Lesser Quality Icons
1 - interesting creation, but not very flattering and the text doesn't fit
1 - like the duplicate picture and cropping but the texture is too blurry to see
2 - too bland and with lack of contrast
2 - the texture usage is good but if one wasn't familiar with that picture, they wouldn;t know it's rob. his jacket is the strongest contrast item and therefore loses focus on the face
4 - unsure of what the image on the right is supposed to be. if it is meant as a texture, perhaps the blending between the image and his face could be smoother
4 - the composition is wrong because 95% of the icon consist of the textures and they don't work together, also to crop Rob's nose wasn't a good idea
4 - While the concept of the icon is nice, it just really needs something more. Maybe the text blurred more.
4 - texture takes too much focus from the picture.
5 - Just an odd choice for texture with the front image. I'm picturing an Amish Rob here. Not sure if that's what you were going for.

1 - although both images are black and white, the contrast and closer zoom of the right hand image gives the icon more interest
3 - beautiful cropping and colouring
3 - pleasing colors, good crop/negative space
3 - The simplicity and light saturation of the image.
