Why are people so stupid some times? why do they try to talk about shit they have no idea in, they read something or heard something there for its automatically true and they must spread that truth and defend it. Today my coworker decided he was going to try to argue with me that a placebo/sugar pill was a very powerfull drug, stronger and better then morphine and many other uses. I tried to tell him that a sugar pill is simply sugar, it can be used to fool one mind, if the user doesn't know about it then the mind fools itself and it can have great effects that way but medically its still just sugar. To which he decided instantly that I was stupid and that he was obviously right and continued to argue till I just said he can stay all the fool he wants to be. Not ten minutes later he decides to mention how history is stupid, and theres a reason not many people know it, because theres nothing worth knowing since its the past. Seriously the past reapeats itself far to often because people are too stupid to look back and see the mistakes of others can be avoided, not to mention everything in the past happened, and hence led up to this point to show us what we are and the world is today, everything effects everything else after all. His ignorance infuriates me so much because he blindly argues it. But I let it go, I said what ever, he can be stupidly ignorant all he wants. Thats when my "manager" who takes no responasbility in any manager like duties but pretends she is one anyway, came in. Today she decided to get mad at me and tell me off about how I shouldn't be sitting down after everything "isnt done" Now heres a brief lesson about my work. I joke around a lot about there being nothing to do, that its a really easy job. While it has its benafits it also has a large work side to it to. Now today alone I spent almost 2 hours working in a cooler on 4 diffrent diliverys, wallace and carrey, coke, pepsi, and dairy. (Dairy which until last week was always morning shift, aka my managers shifts work but she decided she shouldn't have to do it and that I should have to do it ontop of all the other orders.) Any way first off they ordered way to much to start with. Second off, she was mad because they had hidden a case of a certain water out side of the cooler off to the side, and I had not seen it because it was not put with the rest of the order there for I was slacking off. She then continued, to get mad at me for one shelf in the store not being front faced and the creamers/butter on the coffee counter were not stocked. Now last night I also, swept the lot out side, changed 8 garbages, cleaned the washrooms and watched the till 25% of the time. My lovely coworker "Did" the coffee area, closed, swept, and mopped. Although he normally doesn't mop he only did because I refused to after having to spend two hours in the cooler while he sat on his ass. Oh can't forget the paper work I get to do to. Now when you look at a normal gas station enviroment, you have your highest paid employee's being the managers, followed ususally by graveyard then afternoon/day shift. The reason graveyard employee's are paid more is they usually do more, and less people want to work the middle of the night after all. At our station I am the lowest paid employee, I didn't like my wage to start off with, that was about 14 months ago, and I have never gotten a raise. I've scrubbed blood off the walls for my boss, I've cleaned toilets, walls, scrubbed tiles becuase we had the big boss coming and I was the only one compentent enough to do it. And this is how I get treated, and its not an isolated insodent shit like this happens all the time. All in all I think im going to try to find a new job.
