Hmm...

Since I am procrastinating on doing the work that needs to be done, I decided to write. This post has no real topic I'm just rambling on.

I finished a really good book today. We had to read Bram Stoker's _Dracula_ for English, and although I disagree with how it was taught (we honest to god set up a "town meeting" to discuss the vampire problem in London), the book was actually good. It will bog down like any sort of older literature. The book is also drastically different from the movie. Which is good, the movie totally blew ass (just for clarification, I'm talking about the Copola version). I don't know. I love reading good books. If given the opportunity I can talk forever about books. So I will stop here so I do no talk forever.

One thing that has had me kinda irritated lately was an article I saw in Revolver magazine. Revolver is a hard rock/metal magazine...that has so far not impressed me. The ran an article about System of a Down and about how their music got leaked out onto the Internet. Semi-understandably they were upset. They were pissed that some early versions of songs were leaked and they sounded like shit. And that's cool, they wanted to put out a better quality music. What really got me pissed was the fact that they decided not to tour for the album, even though this album (I think it is called Steal this Album) is the follow up to Toxicity. They want a break from touring. Boo Hoo. Suddenly System of a Down has turned into Kelly Osbourne and can no longer take the pressure of touring? What the fuck. You are living a dream. Maybe it's all in my head, but I'm sure being in a world famous band has to be one of the most unbelievable and surreal experiences you could possibly have. That, and I always thought of touring as for the fans. So by not touring you are really just telling your fans to go and fuck themselves. I don't know...just a thought. It has kinda bummed me out about System of a Down though. Just aggravating. That, and the article made them sound kinda like dicks. That may have just been my reading of it though.

I got a job. It's pretty OK. I'm working at Subway over in Opelika. Not particularly glamorous or anything, but it pays well and I need money for London. Oh yeah, and currently around Heathrough (sp?) airport over in London there are tanks guarding the place. Hopefully all of this terror thing will blow over by the time Billy and I leave to go over there. I don't really want to go into my stance on war or America's various foreign policies here. I just hope that some resolution comes around sooner rather then later.

But yeah...I think I'll wrap this up and start busting my ass on school work. idsemester is almost here...and that's crazy. I don't know about all of our current academic situations here in the apartment. All I know is that I wish I hadn't dicked around my first couple of semesters. Last semester was by far my best semester, and I need a couple of more repeat victories.

There I went babbling off again. This is the official end of the post.
