Aight folks, this is gonna be a pretty rambling post...but we will just go from here (if you don't want to read that's fine, I promise you won't hurt my feelings).
Hmm...where do I start?
I'm butting heads with that wall Annan was talking about a few weeks ago. Damn, it's hard. Also to Annan: Hey, I haven't talked to you in like forever! I know I chatted w/ you on AIM a bit yesterday, but I'd love to talk to you or something. I don't have yoru number or e-mail or anything. AIM that shit to me, please :)
Aight, anywho. Yeah, but back to the wall. I think I am going to affectionatley call it "is going to drive Rober to drink". I mean, it's a nice compelation of all things in my life just starting to fuck me over all at once. School is a complete bitch. I counted it up today...for the last month I have had a test, paper, or quiz every day. Every fucking single day. I thought Chemlawn taught me what "burned out" was...but man. this is bad. I mean, I'll elaborate on it if somebody really wants to listen to me piss and moan that much...but I think most people don't want me to.
Social life is aight, I guess. Still devoid of ladies, but hell..nothing is perfect. Football is great. Love the football. Stuff at the apartment is Ok. We just get drunk on the weekends...but that's aight I guess. That will wear on me sometime I'm sure..but it hasn't yet so that's always good. God bless being our ability to get fun things like alcohol and cigars and shit. Speaking of which, I think I need to go cigar shopping soon. I'ts been awhile and I have been dying for one.
In other news, I'm broadening my pallette (sp?). I've been wanting a salad recently. And that says something if any of you know me at all. I usually avoid all things vegetable like they where plague ridden. But, I had a really good salad with my grandmother last weekend (she also let me get some of this 60 year ole bourbon(!). It was love at first sight). My brother and I are starting to finally get along. And that's cool. I remember Preston telling me that things get better w/ your siblings once you move out, and damn if he wasn't right. Speaking or Preston...if anybody knows what he's up to, I'd like to know. I know he graduates this year, but I didn't know what all he is up to. I really doubt anybody knows, but still...
hmm, what else, what else. Kingdom Hearts is great, so TJ if you read this, which I doubt you do, buy it. It is definetley worth it. Or anybody else that reads this that likes great gaming...It is really really good. Hmm....what else...I've really gotten into Jimmy Eat World recently. Obi is ordering one of their older CDs (Clarity, if anybody cares) for me. I'm looking forward to the new Foo Fighters CD. I got about half of it off of winmx and it is pretty solid stuff. It's a lot more ass kicking rock then some of their latest stuff, which is good. Kinda getting back to their roots. It also reminds me of some Queens of the Stone Age stuff, which I think is good but the rest of the people here at the APT don't like it so much. I think Rob likes a couple of their songs, but I know Andrew doesn't care for it and Colin hates anything he hasn't heard before (hehehe), so he has reasons for not grooving with it. I'm also waiting for Zwan to put ot a CD. I got some of their CDs as well and it is really good shit. Granted I'm totally biased because it is Billy Corgan's new band, but I think it's aight. Speaking of Pumpkins, They are rereleasing some stuff...which means I will happily sacrifice my credit record to The Great Pumpkin once again. (ha ha catch the Charlie Brown reference. ha....ha......).
Hmm...since I'm just rambling, I've beem reading a lot lately. I'm readin The Once and Future King for fun. It's fantastic. I love King Arthur stuff, so I'm totally eating this up. I don't think I said anything about finishing Mysts of Avalon, but I did, and that was also a phenomenol book. I loaned my copy to Ananda (who is actually staying with us this weekend. But that's cool. We all really like her, and hell we're proud of papa andrew :) so if any of you want it, I don't think she is done w/ my copy. but pick it up, very good read. Read a lot of stuff for classes and I've liked a lot of that. Typee was really good and The Picture of Dorian Gray was also pretty good. We've been reading a lot of short stories and some of them have been pretty good as well. I just read "The Boarding House" by James Joyce (it was out of the Dubliners) and that was a really neat quick read.
Let's see...Well, that's about all I really think anyone will care to read. Just another one of those periodic updates about how the life of Robert is going. So...I think I'm gonna grab another beer and then head off to bed. Mmmm....beer and bed. G'night everybody.
