I don't know how many folks in Auburn read my livejournal, but I figured I'd give it a shot.
The Crisis Center of East Alabama is looking for some more volunteers. If anybody would like to come and work for us give me a shout, or call the center. Also, if anybody who reads my journal and knows folk that may be interested in volunteering please send them along my way. Normally I wouldn't waste your time with this kind of stuff, but we have been in a real crunch this summer.
The training sessions are August 26, 27, and 28th (aka the weekend before Labor Day). If you're lucky, I'll be conducting the training for the entire weekend. Also, I'm getting Buffalo Wild Wings (aka The Job) to feed us Friday night, and food will be provided the next two mornings. And, depending on your major, you could be eligible to get class credit for it (I know it's common with a lot of Psychology, Sociology, and Communications majors).
I'll try to start posting more often so that everybody can get a glimpse of how sweet life is as a wing cook.
