i know i talk a lot about music. i know i own a lot of records. but today, i really got to thinking. rather than post the mix i was working on, why not pose a question to those who happen across this journal.

i ask you, indie kids, to raise your tiny fists to the air like antennae and sing out your epic piece of music mastery.

but then again...

what is our epic? first, i think i need to be more clear. an epic, to me, has always been a lengthy, powerful, driving song that defines a genre or a generation (without labelling). 'stairway to heaven' is the best example of what i consider to be a great epic piece of music.

but what is the indie rock epic? what do we have, us children left to our own devices for musical preference and choosing our acoustic ballads or screaming vocal lines.

please, this is a call. this is a full-speed ahead. i'm asking people to comment, agree with one another, debate, and offer their thoughts.

what is the indie rock epic?
