I guess I should do this, eh?

Maybe I'll start doing it more often again, who knows.  Now that I have nothing to whine about and no cries for help to shout through the intertubes, I apparently feel no need to update anyone on how I'm doing.

#1, I'm alive!  Woo!  That's a pretty good thing.

#2, I have a sweet job.  I'm still working at Big Fish, and things are going pretty awesome.  I'm currently in charge of all the Mac tickets and I'm actually learning to love my little mini mac that they have outfitted me with.  After years of being starkly anti-Mac, I'm realizing that it wasn't all hot air that they were using, it just wasn't their fault that they had fallen behind windows in the beginning.  But like the Nintendo (that I love) Apple has the incredible ability to be amazingly self-supporting.  They spent years with almost no software development, light years behind (financially) their competition, but yet now, they're taking back over through the handheld market (so to speak), amassing mountains of capital and followers alike.  Plus Macbooks and the new iMacs are pretty sweet.  Anyway, back to me, the notion of me getting hired on full time (as opposed to being a contractor) has apparently been passed around enough that they decided to tell me about it and I've been told to step it up a little bit to make myself look like a good candidate.  Having heard some other horror stories, I'm pretty certain I'll be passed over at least a couple times, but still, I'm pretty confident that it will happen eventually.  Shortly after they had me take over Mac stuff, they started talking about certifications.  Of course, being the full throttle go-getter that I am, immediately started pestering my boss about getting Apple certified, got him to order me a book and I'm trying to get certified before the end of this month.  Not only will I be the first CSR certified in anything through the company, I'll be the first Apple certified CSR, which in itself will make me more valuable to the company (not to mention other companies if I ever leave).

#3,  I have a sweet girlfriend.  Her name is Chelsea and we met at the Chromeo show back in July.  We hang out pretty much all the time, riding bikes (refer to #4), buying records (refer to #5) and going to shows.  Last weekend we went to the mall (which is actually kind of uncommon out here since the closest one is kind of far away) then I made enchiladas and we carved pumpkins.  It was the first pumpkin I've ever carved in my life.  It came out pretty sweet though, with scary eyes and a big toothy grin.

#4, I have a mega sweet bike.  It's not really mega sweet, but I love it.  I had been wanting a bike for a long time, but didn't really know anything about them.  After looking at a number of goodwills and such for super cheap bikes, Chelsea told me what I should really be looking for and helped me sift through craigslist for a good one.  I found this awesome '70s Peugeot for $200 that I snatched up and have been riding everyday since.  This was back in July.  The guy who sold it to me, Ray, invited me out to ride with a group he's part of called point83.  I didn't go for the first couple weeks, nervous that I'd embarrass myself.  But after a few weeks of riding and converting my bike into a fixed gear from a 10 speed, I decided to give it a shot and I totally fell in love with it.  It's just a big group of guys, riding and drinking all over Seattle.  I go at least once a week now and then to a number of events throughout the week on top of it.

#5,  I have a sweet record collection.  I bought a nice, Numark direct drive turntable a while back and started collecting up sweet old records for cheap.  It's gotten pretty big so far.  The last things I've added to it were Polysics or Die, Vista (the new Polysics record) and Dio's Holy Diver, an obvious must have for any rock and roller, such as myself.

#6, I have a sweet band.  I can't divulge too much information about it yet, but let me tell you, it will be the greatest thing I've ever done.  Musically, stylistically...grammatically...

#7, I have a sweet new painting from Zach.  For my birthday, Zach sent me a full sized water color of my back piece concept that is super mega awesome sweet.  It's seriously so badass that it hurts.  Apparently he ordered a frame too but it hasn't come yet.  But I can't wait to get it so I can hang it up.  I don't think my camera really works, but I'm going to try to get a picture up.

#8, I have a sweet new apartment.  Well maybe.  This is still kind of in the works, but it's 99% sure that it's going to happen.  The house I moved into out here is getting torn down soon and I needed to find a new place.  So a rad dude I work with and I decided to go in on one together so we could afford somewhere much cooler and sure enough, it happened.  We found the raddest of rad apartments in the raddest of rad locations.  Someone else beat us to it, but they totally backed out and I heard from the guy yesterday that it was ours.  However I'm still waiting for all of the details, but I'm almost positive that it's going to happen.

#9,  I have a sweet new place to cut rugs.  There's a club here that does an awesome event twice a month called sing sing where everyone goes and dances to awesome DJs and such late into the night.  But on Monday's they do this thing called Soul City Mondays, hosted by the Soul City Seattle crew.  These guys can cut rugs, let me tell you, and I"m going to start going to work on/show off my moves.

#10,  I have a sweet new mustache.  Not like that wimpy one I grew and gave up on last time, this one is big, folks.  Almost big enough for me to substantially curl up on the ends.  But don't worry...it's getting bigger...(I know you were worried)

I guess that's it.  There's my 10 sweet things that I have now, in no particular order.
