I started to strip the woodwork and it wasn't going as quickly as I wanted it to, so I researched some different options and in doing so I became very worried about lead paint. I have no idea if there is lead paint on the woodwork and I didn't know stripping lead paint was dangerous. Is this just common knowledge that I didn't know about? It didn't mention anything about this on the stripping liquid I bought. I'm going to get the paint tested and if it is lead then I won't be able to strip the wood.
It's put a halt to my house work because I want to get the walls painted before doing the new floors, and the floors before bringing in furniture, and so on. My schedule should be back to normal soon though.
