Tonight I was reminded of the movie "Sideways".
See, everyone who has seen the movie thinks they know about wine. They know to sneer at Merlot and drink Pinot Noir.
Well, I wouldn't drink a California Merlot either. Just like I wouldn't drink a Washington Pinot Noir.
I got a Washington Merlot at the liquor store, and the cashier looked at me funny. It was a good price! I'll get a good bottle of wine for under $12 any day. But she said something snarky about Merlot, and I smiled to myself.
