Kaede‘s first day of high school is… not odd, but not normal, either. She had thought everything would be the same, and it is, somewhat.
Her class is full of people that she doesn’t know, and doesn’t care to know, as it had been. She still gets stares and whispers wherever she goes, which, as usual, she ignores. She doesn’t need friends; all she needs is basketball.
Then a girl comes to greet her, with a familiar face: Akagi Haruko, she says, from that middle school that used to have practice games with her own.
Nothing is new, nor old.
