ampers and beer
I turned 21 on April 26th, 2010... I guess we all have to grow old sometime.
I spent the day at the Natural History Museum looking at dinosaurs, tigers, and giant squid. Later, Ivy and I went out for sushi and beer. Really, a very low key and enjoyable birthday.
A few days later, My friend Lyejm gave my first tattoo; a sort of birthday present to myself. It's an ampersand set in ITC Berkeley Old School. I chose that font not only because it is beautiful, but also because, having spent my entire life in Berkeley, it can be hard living 2000 miles away. The tattoo is a reminder of home, as well as a bridge to whatever is coming next...
