(no subject)
My life has been ridiculously great lately. Sure, some of these feelings of euphoria can be attributed to the general lack of sleep I have experienced over the past week and a half. But really, things have just been getting better and better.
I have a road trip planned out for the beginning of August. It will last about three weeks, starting in California and ending in New York, just in time for me to find an apartment and move in before school starts up again. Dalton and I are organizing the entire trip. He will be graduating a few days before we set sail, so really our only time constraint whenever my school starts. We had been talking about how much it would suck to have someone drive the car back to California after the trip, since Dalton was going to be staying with me for a little while in New York. But then we decided fuck it. He’ll be done with College, why not just move to NY? Well, after little deliberation, it’s official. Dalton and I will be roommates next year. I’m so excited for this; you couldn’t possibly have any idea. We are going to have the most kick ass place ever.
Oh, we also decided to start a Graphic Design company to fund our road trip. So far we have three jobs lined up as well as a few personal projects. The main one being a functional website for our company.
We are called:
~ Octopocalypse~The site is not yet functional, but you should bookmark it now for future reference :P
The name was inspired by a design I just completed for the screen-printing class I am currently taking at CCAC.
Below is a digital version of the assignment. I’ll post a scan of the actual print once I repair my scanner. Oh, and just to boast for a second…the print was really successful, my whole class and teacher really liked it. So I’ve been in a pretty damn good mood all of today.
Also, Ashley called me from Shanghai today, it was really good to talk to her; it’s been a while since I heard her voice. And I talked to Ariel yesterday. Things are looking good on that front as well. Not that anyone really cares about my escapades with women.

Oh! If you or anyone you know needs any graphic design work (websites, logos, branding, posters, ANYTHING) please let us know. We are trying to scrape up as many jobs as possible so we can afford gas for our trip.
