First day back in a real drawing class... My drawings are better than I thought they'd be. They still need work though; I can't for the life of me make human legs long enough. I think I’ve figured out what I’m doing wrong though, and that’s half the battle. … Right?

Due tomorrow I have to watch City of Lost Children and pair down the entire plot to a 50-word summary. Absolutely no more than 50 words. That’s for my 2D teacher, Mimi. Honestly, I think she's a little insane. Nonetheless, I’m sure I’ll learn a lot from her, both artistically and in terms of practicing self-restraint when she explodes. (It’s been known to happen)

In 3D we are making helmets to "protect our heads from damage, either real or imaginary" so here's my perfect chance to make a robot helmet, unfortunately all my drawings end up looking like batman-esque motorcycle helmets. Pretty rad, but not really possible for a 4 week project. Did I mention we aren't allowed to use glue? I think parsons founders had some terrible childhood trauma involving glue, because we have been told time an again to "STAY AWAY FROM THE STUFF!"  I'm still in the idea stage for my helmet, which may provide a problem, since we are expected to bring materials into class tomorrow so we can begin production. Eeh, I’ll figure it out

Oh, and I have to read a bunch of Kafka for my English class. There might be busy work to accompany it, which would blow, but it's not unexpected. Maybe I’ll actually do my busy work this semester, it hurt my grade last time. (Go figure, huh?)

In other news: My monocle came in the mail yesterday! Woot. And I’m expecting a grappling hook by tomorrow. I’ll let you try and figure out their purpose in the greater scheme of things…
