This one was alarmingly brainy ksfasdaj -ing. Which is a word now. CURSE YOU ACHILLES.
(a) three facts about them from my personal canon/fanon 1. Doesn't trust or listen to Odysseus most of the time. (Fond of. They're totally men at arms bros. But that is a man meant for kings, not warriors.) 2. Wishes the ancient Greeks had D.N.A tests. 3. Was homesick.
(b) a reason he sucks Where to begin? Oh, Achilles. You are your anger, your temper, your lady issues and your mommy issues, all wrapped up in a package that struggles with basic empathy.
(c) a reason he is amazing It's Achilles. Haters to the left.
(d) five things that I’d like to see happen to them 1. I would love to see him trying to adjust to the modern day 'five second of fame' mentality. 2. Trying to lead the Greeks now that a royal someone *coughAggscough* isn't here to shame him. 3. Taking Briseis out to a drive in movie. 4. All his ladies in one place at one time. Insert face palm of panic here. 5. Losing.
(e) five people that I ship that character with and why. 1. Briseis - He won her with his own spear! 2. Deidamia - Love of his youth. I don't think he loved her but I think he thought he did. He also knew he wasn't coming back. 3. Polyxena - The way Ovid writes her death gets me every time. 4. Atalanta - A lady who can keep up. 5. Andromache - When Achilles holds a grudge he holds a grudge. >:{ Hate/Spite sex for the ages!
"ksfasdaj-ing" is totally my favourite word now. /adds to personal dictionary.
YESSSS to a(1). And a(2) makes me laugh so much. XD And, aww, homesick Achilles! Makes me want to cuddle him.
I love all of your answers! (d) intrigues me particularly, and of course #3 in particular. ;) (Why a drive-in?). #4 - oh lawd, that would be... scary. XD
Achilles would probably enjoy your cuddles. All night long if offered. Priam hauled out the Daddy guilt in The Illiad and Achilles burst into tears. Issuesissuesissues.
d(3) is just this mental image in my brain of Achilles teasingly 'wooing' what he considers to already be his after Patro or somebody bugs him about modern day perceptions. XD 1960's Achilles. Sock hops. Seduction.
Achilles/Andromache is the crack ship of my soul. XD Elysium buddies? idk. So many people have been effected by Achilles but she is inherently defined by his actions. He kills will his own hand all 7 of her brothers, forcing Hector into her whole world. Then he kills Hector.
I get the impression that Andromache was easily frightened in her youth. Protective. By the fall of Troy she is one of the only ones left standing tall in her shackles because for her there's nothing left to be afraid of. All her fears have come true.
It's got all the maturity of Bri?achilles with the enemy love of Poly/Achilles all wrapped up in a package that won't let the man get away with anything because she understands his nature.
