Chain Reaction
At a family function in '83, my cousins and I retreated to their basement to watch some MTV. Journey's Frontiers album seemed to be the shiznit at that time. I don't know if this song was ever a real single or not, but I remember the guitar riff and the video. Checkerboard motif, mannequins, and Steve Perry looking like he was having a seizure. Pretty awful. I sort of miss these types of videos where there were no fancy special effects or 50 costume changes.
After finding it on YouTube, another result in the query was from some band who reanacted the whole video. Pretty scary.
