So, I didn't want to say anything too soon, but
a) I've been recommended for, asked, and have accepted a 6-week-straight-through (paid!) location audio recording gig for a feature film being shot in upper NB, then two weeks off, and if all goes well, another film shoot in Gatineau, PQ for 3 weeks after that. Lodging and food all paid for (yay craft services!)
b) Totally bought a house in St Margaret's NB (15 minutes outside of Miramichi) because it actually worked out to make more financial sense, compared to renting. With this, comes a very nice, dry basement where Ze Studio will be located, until I am somehow able to get commercial space, and open up an actual soundstage/post-production complex.
I am far too excited to form any more rational thought.
