Appearance: A hulking grey robot. Capable of transforming into a large jet..like craft.
Age: Eons. Literally thousands of years old.
Gender: Male Robot?
Personality: Megatron is heavily obsessed with not simply defeating Optimus, but doing so himself. So obsessed is he, that he is willing to save Optimus' life, so he still has the opportunity to destroy him himself. He's a clear believer of might making right, and believes that since humans are weak, they are worthless. Because he is strong, he deserves to rule. His massive amount of pride will not allow him to let anyone else rule over him. He is his own master. This pride also tends to be his downfall, as he makes repeatedly poor strategic decisions to serve his own ego.
Megatron also will take advantage of any situation. If there's a chance to turn things around or cause someone harm, he will do it with no remorse. He doesn't believe in honor, just his right to dominate. He is also very intelligent, having made a plague, and under his rule, the decepticons created a number of highly advanced war weapons. Megatron also seems to see himself as near invincible. After coming back from numerous heavy battles and brushes with death, combined with his ego, one can see how he would have achieved this. This desire to take any opportunity to gain more power mixed with his lack of fear for his safety lead him to go so far as to stab himself with a shard of dark energon.
Backstory: Fought as a gladiator on his home planet cybertron, under the name Megatronus, he believed that the order under the rule of primes should be changed. After his ally, Orion Pax, was promoted to a prime himself (name changing to Optimus Prime), he seemed to change to a more sinister, bloodthirsty nature. Rallying his vast group of supporters, he began a war that lasted thousands of years and was waged throughout the universe, resulting in the death of his home planet.
Despite the fact that his home planet is uninhabitable, he continues to fight with his army, the decepticons, against the forces of the primes, the Autobots. Their war has taken them to earth. He had a plan involving dark energon (blood of unicron), which could be used to control the bodies of deceased cybertronians. This plan backfired, and his disloyal commander, Starscream took the dark energon from Megatrons body, leaving him in a comatose state so that he may rule in Megatron's absence. Megatron is currently in this coma, having various delusions in his own mind (see ep 13, Sick Mind). In Ink City, he will appear good as new, minus dark energon, uncertain if he is experiencing reality or his own subconscious.
Moral Standing: So very, very evil.
Dreams: Death of his hated rival, Optimus Prime by his own hand. Also the complete domination of the known universe. ALL HAIL MEGATRON!
Fears: Someone beating him to disposing of Optimus?
