Tick tock goes the doomsday clock

By Jessica Ravitz, CNN

(CNN) - For months they’ve been spreading the word, answering the biblical call of Ezekiel 33 to sound the alarm and warn the people.

Their message, which they say the Bible guarantees, is simple: The end of the world is near.

And now, it’s suddenly really near - so near that if these folks are right, you should probably pass on buying green bananas. [...]

The preacher in question, 89 year old Harold Camping, claims to have an edge over Jesus. He knows when the rapture will happen. There are two problems with his prediction (one I have already mentioned in passing):

1) The property of being a true prophet of God is that the revelations are infallible. They are derived from the Spirit and not some man-made method. This man is using some hokey Bible-math method he made up. He has also been wrong before.

2) Matthew 24:36 "But of that day and hour no one knoweth, not the angels of heaven, but the Father alone." Not even Jesus or the angels know the hour, and yet this man claims to. Not bloody likely.

This man is a FALSE PROPHET and is leading believers astray.
