Iowa joins
Massachusetts in tyrannical H1N1 control.
The CDC, in complete denial of the reality that H1N1 is less dangerous than seasonal flu, has a quarantine form for Iowa. The order is tyrannical and most certainly unconstitutional in nature. Rights to appeal are granted only while under quarantine. Note that there is NO LIMITATION to the confinement duration. Start and end dates are open.
We have seen time and again how the current administration has gone power mad for control over you. Every piece of legislation coming out of congress and the regulations formed by all the czars are about power and control. And you thought Bush was bad!
Again, I must ask you, why are quarantine orders being generated and isolation camps being formed for H1N1 control, if the H1N1 is less dangerous?
I really don't believe I am being paranoid here (note no tinfoil tag). I see a definite trend for power and control and it seems to be accelerating! How many more states are going to jump on this H1N1 bandwagon? What houses will qualify as acceptable for quarantine? Will you be qualified if you have a firearm? What about your political or religious affiliations? There are too many questions left unanswered here. The potential for abuse of these powers is astounding and you have little or no redress.
Do you know
how China defeated SARS?
By washing hands. It is as simple as that: warm water with soap and washing often.

Prevention
Effective prevention requires the quick detection and isolation of infected persons and measures to minimise people's risk of contact with infected droplets. Measures include the following:
* Detection and isolation: Mandatory temperature screening and declaration of travel history at travel checkpoints, medical facilities, public buildings and workplaces, self-monitoring of temperature, contact tracing, and proper quarantine in a medical facility or at home.
* Infection control at hospitals: Ensure that medical workers are properly attired (e.g. face mask, gloves, gown) when in contact with patients and visitors, and limit the number of visitors.
* Public hygiene: Proper cleaning of public areas and frequently touched surfaces, and stringent hygiene standards for service staff such as food handlers.
* Personal hygiene and social responsibility: Stay home if unwell and wear a mask when going to see a doctor, cover nose and mouth with a tissue or handkerchief when coughing or sneezing, wash hands with soap frequently, and do not share food unless a serving spoon is used.

Yet here we are on a race to prop up "Big Pharma" with making new vaccines "immediately" (it is a bailout, folks) and institution of new unconstitutional powers. This is NOT about health. This is about POWER and CONTROL.
