Roman Catholic couples are being encouraged to pray together before they have sex.
A book published by a prominent Church group invites those setting out on married life to recite the specially-composed Prayer Before Making Love.
It is aimed at 'purifying their intentions' so that the act is not about selfishness or hedonism.

Pray before sex? Heck, I am always praying for sex! Oh... not what they meant. My bad.
Before someone dismisses this as another dubious article from the UK Daily Mail, I have
confirmed it.
Those nutty Catholics (of which I am one) have found a new form of birth control. Frankly, putting a hold on coitus to pray would certainly hamper my hydraulics, if you catch my meaning. Don't get me wrong, I think God has a place in the bedroom. If we weren't intended to enjoy it, it wouldn't be enjoyable. I count it as one of the many gifts from The Almighty. As a gift, it should be treated with care and loving reciprocation. Certainly, "oh God!" is heard commonly in many bedrooms. So, yes. Prayer has its place in the "knowing of your spouse".
But stopping to pray... that is a bit like calling your in-laws to say thanks for giving birth to your spouse just before you boink them. That's just wierd.
