VP Debate
I saw the debate. Regular readers here know I am a big partisan Palin supporter.
Biden won.
Not by a lot. But I feel he did slightly better. I was also relieved with Gwen Iffil. I had my concerns but I think she was, on the whole, balanced.
Gov. Palin did very well. I thought she spent too much time on "energy" and that made her look like a one trick pony.
The pundits say there were no gaffs, but I would SWEAR I heard her call Joe "Obiden" at one point. Not a biggie, anyway.
As far as this debate changing anyone's mind, I'd say no. Nothing compelling. I have to agree with the talking heads on Fox that this debate was more about putting Palin to the test rather than accomplishing anything of substance. She passed with flying colors. She did not embarrass McCain and she debated sufficiently well. I don't know how much that will help his numbers. She surely didn't hurt him tonight.
