Weeeell. Prom is in just two days, and I'm actually not looking forward to it. But let's back up shall we, and I'll tell you about my weekend, then about why I'm not looking forward to prom, okay?
So, on Saturday mom, BUG, and I went to the city for eye appointments and prom dress shopping. I've been informed that I need a "slight tweeking" to my lenses, which means that I need new glasses. BUT, and this is an important 'BUT', I think I managed to convince mom to let my try out contacts! :) Which is something that I've been bugging her about since, well, since I first got glasses in grade 7. And don't ask me how I finally managed to convince her, because I have nooo sweet clue! ;P I didn't really question it, I was just like, "okay!" She said that she'll let me try them out as long as the price isn't that bad. So yippieeee! :D
As for the prom dress part. Weeeell. That went pretty good, I guess. BUG knew exactly what dress she wanted, she saw it when she was in the city with her friends a few weeks before. As for me, well, I had no clue what I was going to get. I really liked the dress BUG got, but I was not getting the same dress as her. I would have gotten something similar to hers though - same design (except hers was a strapless and the one I wanted was a halter) but in blue, not pink like BUG's - but, sadly, they were all out of blue halter dresses like that. They only had pink left. And I was not getting the pink one, as I said before.
Another store we went to had the most beautiful dress ever. *Sigh* But it also had the worst prices ever. The dress I wanted was a strapless, it was about knee length, I think, and was black and two or three different shades of grey. I loved it, but mom didn't love the price. $179.99. She wouldn't even let me try it on! :(
Well, eventually I found a dress that both my mom and I liked. BUG (the fashonista in our family) even liked it. It's black, about knee length, with spaghetti straps. It has a slight v-neck, but only slight. Too much of a v-neck would just make me look slutty. I tried to find a picture of it online, but couldn't, so you'll have to live with my (very) sucky description of my dress. I'm not much into the fashon thing. I leave that to BUG. I just throw on whatever I find comfortable.
So, after dress shopping we called dad to come pick us up. Dad was staying at the campground for the weekend, and BUG and I decided that we wanted to go too. Mom and Dad wouldn't let us miss school again and go with him on Friday, so dad came down to meet us at the mall, which is only about an hour away from the campground. So dad and his friend came down to pick us up. Mom had to stay home with nana though, plus she was busy cleaning out this old woman's house out. She was a friend of my mom's and she died a couple of weeks ago.
So. We got to the campground, and nothing really special happened. Dad's friends are really nice and they have the cutest little dog! We made s'mores and had a lot of fun around the campfire. The next morning we all volunteered dad to make scrambled eggs for breakfast - YUM! :)
We didn't bring Sasha this time because she couldn't stay in the car when mom, BUG, and I were shopping and such, so, when dad, BUG, and I got home she went CRAZY ! She always gets really excited when someone comes home, and when BUG and I get home from school she always runs outside to greet us and lick us to death.
So, when we got home we ended up leaving pretty soon after that. We went to my mom's friend's house to help her clean it out some. We were told that we could take the sofa and chair, and, since ours are REALLY old and worn out, we're taking them. But for now they're in my grandmother's garage because we've gotta get rid of the old ones first.
Well, out French teacher, Mrs R. started this time capsule thing with the grade 7, 8 and 9b classes. It seems like it's gonna be a lot of fun, but right now I don't know enough about it, so I'll explain it later when I know all of what we're gonna do for it. All I really know for sure is that we get to open it sometime during our grade 12 graduation.
About the prom thing. Well, I'm going with BEZ, and I'm really beginning to think that that was a mistake. I really do not like him at all. I'm sorry, but it's true. We barley talk, and when we do, it's just...boring I guess would be the word. I don't know what's gonna happen when I have to dance with him. I just reeeally hope he doesn't ask me out, cause I don't want to hurt him when I say no.
On another subject, though still on the subject of boys and prom, KW and CC are now - finally - going out. As of last night. CC broke up with his girlfriend, then asked KW out on MSN. Not all that romantic, but still. Now I don't have to listen to her go on and on about how she wants to go out with him. The thing is though, they're going out and they've never actually met. They will, though, on Thursday, which is prom night. KW invited him up, and he said that he's allowed to go. I'm actually kinda excited to meet him though. I've heard so much about him that I feel like I know him - even though I don't. I mean, come on! I even know the boy's penis size! lol.
Anywaaaays, I think I'm either going to KW's to get ready for prom, or staying home so I can go next door to get my hair done up all nice. But I'm not sure yet. It really depends on how much it will cost to get my hair done.
Well, that's all that I can think of for now. Though I'm sure I'll think of more to tell you later.
Oh, wait. Did anyone see 'Jon & Kate Plus 8' last night? What do you think is gonna happen with Jon and Kate? I think that they'll end up getting divorced, even though I want them to stay together. But what will happen to the kids if they do get divorced? Me and MX1 had this big 'ol conversation at lunch on this very subject. What do you think?
