to blow the children's mind
yeah! i had french toast today at julie's in honor of the french movies me and ashley watched!! they were so good and artsy! rosetta was really good i thought, mainly because it had no dialogues. it was mainly just life actions, which i always find beautiful. the ending was a bit abrupt, but made sense, because she went full cycle and ended up where she started cause it was a depressing film. the second movie we watched, ma vie en rose, was really depressing for me, even though it was happy. cause yeah, the last scene is happy cause the kid finally finds his transexual niche, but there is eerie music playing in reminder of the troubles he took to get there and the assholes in the world. and i guess since ashley just loves how gay the plot is?!?! as opposed to the movie i got depressed and she didn't. but i am still proud we both noticed the dramatic color changes! though i can't see how one couldn't . . .
so enough with french films! NO! YOU CAN NEVER HAVE ENOUGH FRENCH FILMS!! dino pronounced "amelie" today in the most bizarre way. he said like ahm-ail-ah-ay or something. i dunno, i do my best to replicate it but i can't.
lorraine and i are beefing up to hopefully return to AB to play some football. though in the process we almost get his with lacrosse balls. x.x
in other news, everyone should not plan anything for july 14th and instead go to my birthday party at the axis!! it's streetlight manifesto with big d and the kids table and the know how, and some other band i've never heard of. slater?!?! from saved by the bell??? but yeah! we're all gonna wear birthday hats and i'm gonna do my best to get them to sing happy birthday to me. best eighteenth birthday party EVER! i have just added it to my life goals . . . but i dunno, is it expecting too much to expect big d or streetlight to sing happy birthday to me? OF COURSE NOT!!! *ska face*
