you've got the touch...
(dun dun duuuun dun)
you've got the poweeeeeeerrrrrr..... yeah!

and anyone who knows that song and knows that it's from the scene in Transformers the movie (the original one) when optimus prime comes to defend autobot city gets bonus points.

but anyways, yeah. so i'm back from texas and ye olde southern states, and back in good old new hampsha' and my own comfy bed with my own computer. and things are good. but who here knew that the legal age to drive a 28 foot moving truck from a rental company was 18? yeah, neither did i. so let's see what happened to me whilst i was away. on thusday morning, i spent practically the entire day in the air. 5 plane rides. because the first one, from portland ME into laguardia (if that's how you spell it) NY was an hour and a half late, causing us to miss the connecting flight into atlanta. so instead, the rerouted us back to boston MA, then to philadelphia PA, then to dallas TX and finnally to san antonio TX. so that was 5 flights, all in the span of about 18 hours. cuz we left at 6 in the morning, and got in around midnight. and after all that, we ended up having to drive to our final destination of corpus cristi, about 2 hours away from san antonio, when our original tickets said that was our destination. so gah were things messed up. so yeah, if anyone is thinking of flying US airways, i strongly suggest switching to a different company. but anyways, moving on, once we got into corpus cristi, where our bags had still been sent, the baggage area had already shut down, so we spent the night without our luggage. but at least they had it in the morning, when we went back to pick it up. after that we went to the storage place where all the crap was and moved it into the truck. and damn was that stuff heavy. for some reason, they decided it was a good idea to take the sound booth apart and bring it back. i swear one of those walls (the one with the windows) must have been at least 500 lbs. the rest of it wasn't as heavy, but damn was there a lot of it. anyways, we got everything loaded by 2 or so and started the massive road trip. and by 9 that night, still hadn't gotten out of texas. i know texas is big, but damn. we wern't even down at the tip, and it still took more than 6 hours to get out. but anyways, after that first night, by the second day, we drove through all of arkansas and made it halfway through tennessee. not too bad. and the day after made it out of tennesse, through kentucky (should have gotten some KFC there. damn) and into ohio. and then the last day we made it out of ohio, and through pennsylvania, new york, connecticut, mass, new hampshire, and back to maine for a total of 2300 miles and 3 and a half days of driving, averaging about 650 miles a day. and i did around half of that, maybe a tad bit more. so yeah, i have a newfound appreciation for truckers, and have officially ended any and all want to become a proffessional truck driver. but anyways, to explain the song at the beggining of this post, whenever i was driving, the one song that would instantly come to my head was "the touch" from stan bush, and what i could see in my mind was that scene where optimus prime comes to save the day lol. but yeah. so that's how i've been. and now i'm back. who wants to go out and do something to celebrate?

oh oh oh! and my silicone rubber came in at work! so now all i need is for my mold to finish coming off of the 3d printer and then i can start making things! it's very exciting lol. yay for my projects coming to life. i'll have to swipe a prototype to keep as a souvenir when it's done

'till all are one
