I'm not talking about my LJ posts!! because I don't think all of my friends are always looking for my English mistakes (or if you always do it, you must not be my friend).
I sometimes ask Americans to check my English essays or e-mails, and they fix mistakes for me, but the amount of my mistakes is NOT so many!! For example, I wrote an essay with 497 words last week. I went to a tutoring center, and the writing tutor fixed only 5 parts, and most of them are just adding "the" or erasing one word. I don't understand English well yet, but this fact inspires me to study English more!!
I just found one essay(?) that I wrote at the end of ESL level2, May 31 in 2006. By the way, I first came to America on March 22, 2006. This essay doesn't show my real English skills when I first came to America because I studied English SO HARD in the first quarter at the college.
I learned many kinds of things through this class. In fact, I read paragraph that I had written on beginning of this class recently. I was surprised at that paragraph because there were a lot of mistakes, and I can understand about these mistakes now. It is difficult to say what I learned through this class, but I learned many kinds of things. This is a fact. Actually, I did a lot of things to learn English. When I wrote mistakes in my homework, I asked my teacher about my mistakes. She taught me about that until I understood, so I could learn a lot. On a break, I often talk with my teacher. It was useful to me because I could ask her many kinds of things.
I have a goal for next quarter. I don’t want to have problems in English, so I want to be a man who speaks English very well! If I can be that, I will be able to more enjoy this place.
