it's about being fed compliments when you feel like you haven't worked that hard for them. it's just that this is all i've relly wanted to do since singing to myself as a little kid, since taking the step to learn how to play guitar in 7th grade, since playing sophmoric punk rock shows with my punk rock band as a sophmore, since working the indie record store in 12 grade realizing that thousands of people have made a cultural impact nationaly and globaly based on six strings and the voice of a human being.
"being on stage is like the best drug"
"i never knew you were such a hot little lead singer frontman."
"hey man you guys sounded really good up there"
"is that all you're playing, are you guys really finished?"--"no man, our guitar player feel's really sick (because he does opiates) and he doesn't feel like he can play much more. plus we're about out of thuroughly practiced music and could currently go for a gin and tonic at your fine establishment."
we did jumpin' jack flash really well tonight i thought. i wanted to to CCR's fortunate son transitioned smashingly out of an orignial song called 203. in my head it sounds perfect and i have the guitarsinal of musicians to make just about anything on guitars (and bass guitar) through amps with drums sound mothafucking awesome.
there is no way that i was not made to do exactly what im doing right now.
