Today was insane

Oct 17, 2007 00:32

I was perfectly happy. Got to wake up next to Gregory, which is rather unusual for a Tuesday morning. But that also means I woke up at 6am (luckily we went to sleep around 10:30pm).

Today was the first day of Intensive Week. Around 7pm, a (metaphorical) train wreck occurred. As I was copying the textbook (for a student who refuses to BUY the textbook), the copier broke. I still hadn't prepared for my 7:15 Intensive class. Chiyoko went to convini to copy the appendices and I didn't read the lesson plan till class time (it was attached to the appendices). I also didnt have all the materials (corresponding DVD or the book pages)...and i didnt know how to explain the target 'cause i didnt know what the target WAS till 15 min into class.

I spent a great deal of time verbally floundering and they spent an equal amount of time staring at me like I grew another mouth.

I somehow got into a fight with Brian about cheese (no idea how), and with Laurier about something. Probably PMS (hoping). I am also extremely unhappy with our coworker Yoshimi. She has been a total bitch to Chiyoko and I do NOT approve. They were friends for years (maybe 14?) until Yoshimi started dating one of Chiyo's friends. Then she starts blowing off work to be with him (and is wildly possessive of him and won't let him talk to Chiyo anymore). Now, we knew Yoshimi was probably going to leave. But she's supposed to tell the manager (Chiyoko), who is supposed to tell Head Office. So Yoshimi sidesteps Chiyo and tells Head Office. When Chiyo hears, she asks her why she's leaving. Yoshimi refuses to tell her. Now, Yoshimi hardly speaks to me as it is (I think she hates most women). I approach her and as why. She says she's getting married. Well congratulations! Does everyone know? Have you told Brian and Chiyoko? Subtle right? She says she told Brian but that her fiancée must have told Chiyoko because, oh they're friends don't you know. I say "Oh I thought they didn't talk" to which she responds with her boldfaced lie sure they do.

Chiyoko had to act like she knew what was going on when students came up to her saying "So Yoshimi's leaving! Well at least it's good news, isn't it!" and it made her feel so foolish.

Yoshimi has also cancelled classes by calling the student directly without even letting Chiyo know. But I guess that's nothing compared to the other shit she's done to the woman who was her FRIEND.

There's nothing I want more than to slap her in the face, hard, and tell her what a bitch she is and how she doesn't deserve friends as good as Chiyoko. Oh and I'd also like to tell her how unhappy her future husband will be if she keeps that death-grip on him.

Sidenote: It makes me wonder if I'm any better about honesty vs. fakeness. I didn't say anything. I congratulated her sincerely and acted as if everything was fine between us to avoid confrontation. I am really happy for her engagement. But I pretty much loathe the insecure, petty, careless, jealous bitch she has revealed herself to be. And I haven't said a word.
