My intergrabber is back online and fully functional [just like Data]!
Saturday night after work, there was a GEOS party at a HUGE club in Tokyo called Ageha. I made a new friend named Takayuki who was a music business major in Nevada and is now in a Headways class at another GEOS school. I stayed out all night dancing until first train [5am]. Everyone was having such a good time that no one noticed or cared that I wasn`t drinking alcohol at all! Score one for sobreity!
Yesterday I went to an onsen [hot spring] in Hakone with Tatiana and Diane from my canada training. it was amazing! so relaxing. Hakone is beautiful, kind of close to Mt Fuji, covered in other mountains. There's a fun tourist strip selling special foods [pancake-like things, seafood, etc.].
Later that evening, Diane and i had dinner in Shinjuku [downtown Tokyo] at a Sri Lankan restaurant. We shared cashew nut curry and pumpkin curry with rice and nan then 'Jaggery icecream' which was like
vanilla with nuts and honey. yum! We were having such a good time and laughing so hard that our sides hurt and we drew a bit of attention from the staff who watched us eat a bunch of mango chutney, leave, and cross the street. Im going back!
I have also met a few people that I don`t like, however. There are some fake, two-faced people working for GEOS [not at my school thankfully]. They wouldn`t know genuineness if it hit then in the face, genuinely. I just hope I don`t see these people often, though I probably will have to see them again. Anyway! In general, I`m happy at
the moment. Trying to put all the pieces together to figure out how to make a life.
I don`t know how long I want to stay. I`m not as much home sick as just missing my family. I want to travel to other countries, but for shorter amounts of time. I can`t imagine making a life in Japan, then
again in Thailand, again somewhere else, etc. I also think that being an employee in a huge company would drain the life out of me over time. I miss entrepreneurship.
My next show is this Sunday and now that I have my cds, I can sell them! I'm hungry. Grr.
Also, to conclude the repercussions or lack thereof of what I posted about on February 23:
After not receiving the promised apology email, I contacted my trainer again who told me that because the incident happened outside working hours, there was nothing he could actually do. Aaron "vehemently denied" the accusation and Rachel backed him up. Of course, both of them were too drunk to even know what happened. Anyway, they've been warned not to party too hard around GEOS people. It's a little annoying though, after all this, to see Aaron's name on the list for being nominated for the Big Jump training. Also annoying that the first person I told the story to, Satchie, didn't actually believe me. Faker.
Moving on.
