I actually just read a hoax book that debunked this thing, saying that some guy from John Hopkins went on record to debunk the hoax saying that freezing the plastic bottle would proibably make the water inside Safer to drink because "freezing actually works against the release of chemicals" but and that heating them would release chemicals, but such a miniscule amount that it's actually more harmful for you to eat fast food than it is to heat it up in the microwave.
