a thought
as I walked by a solemn Korean catholic church the other day, the idea occurred to me that the profession of a priest or a pastor of any kind is one gem of a gig. I mean, imagine getting paid for having to speak roughly one hour once a week in front of a bunch of people? I think I could get over stage fright very quickly. Then, during the week, all you have to do is: talk with people. They call you up, they talk about their problems, and you have some suggestions for them= EASY. At times I am half-tempted to think about getting an M-Div in Unitarian studies or something like that, just for the sake of having this kind of stewardship. But then again, I am sure I am not thinking deeply enough about this....
