OLYMPIA - The temperature matched Olympia’s record high Wednesday, hitting 104 degrees shortly before 4 p.m., four days into a heat wave in which temperatures have been in the 90s or higher.
Hottest Week Ever - Wednesday
The last time that thermometers at Olympia Regional Airport registered that high was Aug. 9, 1981, according to the National Weather Service. Seattle also set a record high Wednesday, hitting 102 degrees at 2:30 p.m.
Today could see slightly lower temperatures, and the weather won’t return to the typical high 70s to mid-80s until midweek next week, said Dennis D’Amico, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service.
