(no subject)
Okay, the kids had their dental appointment this morning. We were there for over an hour and a half (their appointments were consecutive). I listened to an hour long discussion between two ladies about the two Ethiopian children one of them had just adopted. The children spoke no English four months ago, but the girl (age 6) barely speaks with an accent now. Her syntax is just a little unusual. Her brother (age 2) sounds like an American two year old.
Anyway. I called the bus barn and told them that I would drive Amanda to school myself.
No cavities for either of them. That makes four appointments in a row without cavities for Alex so he got a free T-shirt. Amanda hasn't had four appointments yet. Alex is also too big for fluoride tablets. He has moved on to fluoride rinse.
The dentist wants to remove Alex's eyeteeth in the hopes that the impacted adult eyeteeth will come down (the same thing they did with me as a child--which didn't work). Since we take possession of the new house on November 9th, I want him to have recovered by then, so I asked for an appointment ASAP. Which we got. 2:30 today.
My baby's getting teeth taken out! Ook. Cringe.
