Hark!

Sunday found us (me, Storm, Jean Grey, Cyclops, and Beast) at the New York Renaissance Faire. We were required to go before they opened to catch the "story." Which, for those who don't know, is a plot (or several) that is acted out anywhere in the faire throughout the day. Some major events happen at more or less planned times and locations. Sadly, we missed nearly every one after that so it wound up being a waste in that regard. But it was a cool idea. Overall, I had a fairly good time, but I was dying to leave hours before we did. I was half dead and nursing a headache that would go on to last until two in the morning. When I got home, I went to bed almost immediately. If I hadn't woken up with the headache at two, it would have easily been the best night's sleep in years. And by the time I got my cell phone signal back, I forgot that I needed to make a birthday phone call. I am now Ren'ed and Faire'd out for at least a year.

Simpsons quote of the this post: "Alight your gaze on yonder fabled beasts of yore. Behold, the rarest of the rare, the mythological two-headed hound born with only one head. Ooh, and here, out of the mists of history, the legendary esquilax, a horse with the head of a rabbit and the body of a rabbit. Oh, it's galloping away."
