Oh my goodness, where did the time go?? It's Thursday already?!? Wow, spring break has flown by! Okay, here is my advice for the Job Fair. Take it for what it is worth.

1. Fill out those applications! If there are districts at the fair that you are serious about working for, get the applications filled out this weekend. That way, when you meet them at the job fair, they are able to take you a little more seriously than other candidates. Also, some districts, like Cherry Creek in Colorado, do preliminary interviews at the job fair, but only if you've already applied.

2. Have a plan! Highlight the districts that you want to talk to and do it! Lines tend to be long for warmer climates and Michigan schools, so you may want to get there early to speak to them.

3. Packets are good things. For those districts that you are seriously considering, have a packet ready for them with your cover letter, resume, three letters of recommendation, letter of good standing, and an unofficial transcript... it just makes the application process a little faster.

4. A job fair is kinda like a flea market - take a quick tour around the job fair before you sit down to talk to anyone. There may be a school or two that looks a little more interesting than on the paper.

Have fun, don't be nervous! Also: you may want to look at some websites for some possible questions they may ask while you are there. This was the most helpful thing I did, really. Good luck!
