Good news, bad news: Day 7 (probably)
I am now gainfully employed in Corona Del Mar, Orange County. I will be living in a house that caters to people coming out of rehab who aren't quite ready to go back to their regular lives yet. It is a four bedroom house with a pool, three car garage and a mountain view of the ocean that would otherwise cost me 2.6 million dollars but I get to live there for free. When I have a guest in the house, I get paid to be a companion and low-grade butler (drive them places, make a little breakfast, distribute meds). I'm not sure if this is a good job or a bad job yet. It's different from anything else I've done so far. And it's a place to stay.
Here is the bad news. I can't make it to Arizona as planned. I know I promised...several times...for many months now. I'm sorry. But who knows? Maybe I'll hate this job so much I will run screaming from the OC and head out to Arizona. My new employer said that would be alright. This isn't one of my better entries.
