mmm Fiberglass
I got about halfway through putting insulation up in my house today.
This is what I started with:
notice the nice blue foam board stuff on the ceiling? Yeah, that was cake. Today and tomorrow is the nasty ass fiberglass pink shit. The foam board is great but way too expensive for the whole room.
I tried to cover up as best I could. I ended up looking rather ridiculous
and then Jokhanah jumped in on the fun. I bet I could kick ass with my staple gun better than any of Charlie's Angels.
I started in the loft and attempted to use up some of the leftover stuff from doing the floor and ceiling. Yeah, it looks super ugly, but will hopefully function well. damn I just noticed a spot I need to fill in.
The side of the loft and the main floor look much nicer. I think I did a damn good job.

Its going to suck trying to cut down the widths tomorrow for all the odd spaces where windows and doors were accomadated, but i'm glad I gotdo much done tonight.
Oh, and who the hell builds studs 15 5/8ths inches apart??? This window has some serious issues beneith it. Faked me out looking all nice and uniform but nooooo, your damn 5/8ths totally wrecks my plan for easy.
you have no idea how long it took me to stuff the little left over crack with insulation and then figure out how to secure the whole thing. and I made it look pretty too!
oh and I look like a serial killer
this also happens to be right before i fell off the ladder when my kidneys rebeled and rendered my right leg unable to hold weight. That was interesting and also when I stopped insulating for the night.
Ok, I'm going to go die now. Why must my body decide to rebel in such horrible ways when I have so much manaul labor to do?
