Allan struggled with the barrel of ale he was carrying into the hall of Locksley Manor.
“Over there,” Guy said, waving a hand at the other side of the room.
“What’s this celebration for then?” Allan panted when he put it down.
“Christmas.”
Returning to his Master’s side, Allan gave a broad grin. “I’m not being funny, but you’re having a lot of parties lately. Must be getting mellow. Next thing I’ll come in and you won’t be wearing black!”
Guy cocked an eyebrow. “I think you’ve already seen me not wearing black.”
“Oh yeah,” Allan whispered, remembering last night.
