Anger doesn’t sit on Will like other people, an opaque red haze hanging before their eyes. It doesn’t make him thrash, scream and curse the heavens. It makes him duck his head and hold perfectly still, nails digging into his palms to stop his hands shaking. It makes him remember each injustice with careful detail.
His anger is silent, patient and vindictive. It hollows him out and leaves him with an eerie calm; he will right those wrongs he can and avenge those he cannot.
When he sets the wine before the gluttonous Sheriff he does so with a smile.
